Bookmark converter
Turn your browser's bookmarks file into CSV, Markdown, or JSON — or turn a Pocket export into a bookmarks file any browser can import. Free, no account. Your file stays in your browser.
What it converts
| From | To |
|---|---|
| Bookmarks file (HTML) from any browser | CSV, Markdown, JSON |
| Pocket export (CSV) | Bookmarks file (HTML) |
| CSV | Bookmarks file (HTML) |
A CSV needs a column of web addresses; titles and folders are used if they're there.
Get your bookmarks file
Every browser can save its bookmarks as one HTML file. The shortcuts are for Windows and Linux; on a Mac, use ⌘ instead of Ctrl.
- Chrome — open the bookmark manager (Ctrl+Shift+O), click ⋮ at the top right, and choose Export bookmarks.
- Edge — open your favourites (Ctrl+Shift+O), click ⋯, and choose Export favourites.
- Firefox — open the Library (Ctrl+Shift+O), click Import and Backup, and choose Export Bookmarks to HTML.
- Safari — choose File → Export Bookmarks.
- Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera — open the bookmark manager and choose Export bookmarks from its menu.
Pocket. If you downloaded your Pocket export before it closed, choose the CSV file from that download.
Your file stays in your browser
The converter reads and converts your file on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.
Moving to LinkMartin?
You don't need to convert anything: LinkMartin imports a browser's bookmarks file and Pocket, Instapaper, and Raindrop exports directly.
Want your bookmarks to find you instead?
LinkMartin saves any page, writes a description and tags for it, and puts matching ones above your Google results.
